Carol Burnett Turns 91 With a Surprise Video Message From Her Celebrity Crush, Bradley Cooper

She’s already a television legend, but Carol Burnett is having (yet another) moment.
As she celebrates her 91st birthday on Friday (April 26), the TV legend is taking a victory lap for her performance in the new miniseries Palm Royale, recently appeared on the cover of the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar, and came this close to having her steamy birthday wish involving Maestro star Bradley Cooper come true on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night.
The Cooper birthday wish all started with a March appearance on the morning show Live with Kelly and Mark, on which Burnett joked that, though her wish to “do” George Clooney before her 90th birthday didn’t pan out, she was eyeing Cooper, 49, ahead of her 91st.
Fast-forward to Wednesday night, where Kimmel brought up Burnett’s wish for a romp with Cooper ahead of her 91st birthday.
“Well, you know, my birthday is Friday,” she noted slyly.
Kimmel, however, had something in store for the comedy great: a video message from Cooper himself.
“Hello, Carol Burnett, it’s Bradley Cooper. I just wanted to wish you a very happy 91st birthday,” Cooper said in the video. “I’ve been such a massive fan of yours ever since I was a kid, watched your show religiously, and it’s a thrill to leave you this message. I hope to meet you one day and maybe even work together. I hope you have a great day, see ya.”

Burnett laughed and thanked Kimmel for the surprise, while the talk show host quipped, “It’s not sex. It’s a step in that direction. That’s how Bradley does it, first he sends a video message.”
